The first conference of thematic monitoring group 2 took place in Stockholm on the 25th of May 2007.
The conference was restricted and specifically targets policy makers and experts combined with high quality projects. The goals of the conference are:

• First spreading knowledge and awareness among policy makers and intermediary organisations of SME’s about sectoral skills gaps and involvement of SME’s in lifelong learning projects and the solutions Leonardo projects have.
• Second is to discuss the way a sustainable European platform on theme 2 could function and how it can relate to other networks and platforms.
• Third is to exchange best practices and products of the selected projects. This also gives valorisation opportunities for projects.
  The conference has been hosted by the Swedish NA. The products and follow up are a compendium of projects, publication and dissemination of conference reports and recommendations.
